Our Vision
Critical Materials America (CMA) will provide a forum for key policy makers to connect with stakeholders to raise awareness, educate and advance important policy considerations of the critical materials community with a focus on expanding the access to critical minerals and rare earth elements from U.S. sources and trusted partners and assist decision makers with the development of a long-term strategy for the growth of advanced mining, refining and processing technologies.
Our Mission
Critical Materials America (CMA) conducts educational forums, policy roundtables, advocacy meetings and special events with key policymakers, stakeholders, and private sector advocates. Our intent is to help shape the next generation of legislative policy, regulatory frameworks and federal funding streams, with the expressed purpose of expanding the access of critical minerals and rare earth elements from domestic sources to reduce United States dependence on China and adversarial nations.
Strategic Plan
Become a nationally recognized organization for the advancement of critical mineral and rare earth element resource policy for the United States of America. Become the trusted partner of Capitol Hill in the legislative pursuit of building a safe and diverse critical materials supply chain within a practicable regulatory framework. Ensure key US industries such as defense, mining, electronics, energy aerospace, and transportation are not subjected to critical minerals and rare earth element supply chain disruptions by advancing US policies to significantly reduce reliance on China and other adversarial nations.
Delivery Objectives
Build support for a safe and diverse critical materials supply chain within a framework of a feasible regulatory framework.
Provide educational resources and seminars on the National Defense Stockpile, critical mineral R&D, and long-term supply chain strategy.
Increase public awareness and build support to protect America from the threat of rare-earth element supply disruptions, encourage domestic production of those elements, and reduce the United States reliance on China.
Support critical mineral and rare earth element resource policy by advancing innovation to support growth of domestic supply chains and reduce the United States’ reliance on critical materials from adversarial nations.
Advocate for the development of advanced mining, refining, and processing technologies.
